JoAnne Berkow, gallery owner and initiator of RosettaStone Corporate Art, is a world-renown artist, author and a multifaceted businesswoman. Her artwork has been shown in museums and universities all over this country and is in the permanent Contemporary Art Collection at the Vatican.  She is an unusual artist in that she has spent most of her professional life not only promoting her own work, but also promoting the work of other artists. In 1976 she created one of the most highly celebrated art cooperatives in the country, the Touchstone Gallery in Washington, D.C.; in 1994, Frenchman’s Art Gallery and Studios, and in 2004, RosettaStone Fine Art Gallery-both in Juno Beach, Florida.  She owns her own fine art printing company and is the author of three books, “Shades of Love,” “What They Didn’t Teach You in Art School,” and “Painted Poetry.”

Ms. Berkow’s ardent desire is to educate the public at large about the importance of art in our every day lives and illustrates how a community can benefit measurably by investing in the arts.  To that end, she has spent the last three years building an impressive network of artists from all over the world and developing a corporate art program. Her goal is to make it easy and pleasurable for companies to create an aesthetic branding that will enhance their image in the community, and have a positive effect on their employees, business partners, and customers.

Having spent much of her life mentoring other artists, Ms. Berkow has established a not-for-profit to benefit the Museum for Living Art (M.O.L.A.), the components of which will include a museum, world-class foundry, stone carving studio, glass blowing studio, a print atelier, low income housing to accommodate staff and visiting artists, plus a plein-air painting park and sculpture garden.
